When I try to login to MyGovID the wheels keep spinning and no code is generated. I do not have the url bookmarked and have checked that I have the latest software as outlined on their website.

Sounds like you have already exhausted the help suggestions from myGovID site when you don't receive your four-digit code.
As you're still experiencing the issue might be worth contacting our myGovID help desk so they can support you as you try to login.
