I have moved to another country and want to update my ATO details but the code sent to log in is going to an old phone number that doesnt exist anymore

Hi @TonyG63,


You cannot access myGov from overseas unless you use the code generator app or the security questions when log you in. This must be setup before you leave the country.


We have answered similar post that gives you instructions how to create new MyGov account so you can access without your old phone.

Hi Wendy,

Thank you for your reply - form your advice I will need to establish a new account. I will need to use the same email address and your advice is to contact the MyGov Helpdesk to get it released so I can set up a new account. The problem there is the waiting time is just so long whne calling any MyGov number - is there some other way otherwise this takes forever.
