I was requested to become a member of a VIP Membership for a very well-known person. Before I could proceed there was a requirement for me to link myGov to the ATO.
Is there any valid reason this request would be required?

It does sound odd that you have been asked to do this. I would question them as to why. There is no valid reason for this. Your myGov account linked to the ATO is for you only.
Always keep your information safe. Never allow anyone else to access your myGov account.

Thanks for the response. Have done some further investigation and have found that is a scam.
