I am about to inherit a property that has been rented. Is the rental income mine from settlement or from when my relative passed away?

Hello @Durwood_blues,

Usually the rental income from a property when someone passes will be handled by the deceased estate until the asset is distributed. You will not be eligible for the rental income until the property is passed into your name by the executor. However these situations are best discussed with the executor as well to make sure there is a clean passing on of the property.
