Hey, I am deciding to dropship to Australia via Zendrop (They Have warehouses in the US and China), meaning I would be dropshipping from outside of Australia. I am not based in Australia and I was wondering how I would be paying taxes here.

I am aware that I have to register for tax as soon as I start selling. Should I register for a ABN? and GST? and how would I navigate my way from there?

Also, is there any other tax like custom duty tax or such when I am dropshipping to Australia?

Thanks a lot for reading through, any help would be great!

Hi @Amogh123

You might not need to register for anything if you're a non-resident and your GST turnover is less than $75,000.

Customs duty charges and import processing charges are handled by Australian Border Force, so you'd need to talk to them regarding that aspect. They also are the ones who calculate and charge the GST on imported goods.
