Hi Team,

There is an employee who works in two shops that are coming under the same ABN and the same owner. We are doing weekly payroll and for both shops, we have two different payrolls. If that is the case can this particular employee claim a tax-free threshold from both shops when doing payroll each week, or do we only have to claim it from one shop's payroll? Because Sometimes we have staff reluctant to work across both stores as they pay double tax. We would appreciate your early attention to this email.

Thank you!

Cheers

Yes, if you are going to run separate payroll systems.

You could run a single payroll system, and allocate payroll cost to each shop.
