I have finalised two quarterly PAYG installments, but not paid them yet. A third has just come in. These PAYG installments were very over inflated and I need to vary them to reduce the amount owed. I'm able to vary the most recent PAYG payment that is not due yet, however that doesn't change the previous two from showing a large amount being overdue. I'd like to clean this up and have the total amount owing correct. Can I vary the two finalised PAYG installments that have not been paid? Or somehow vary the most recent one to make changes to the previous two?

Hi Jmb77,
You can only vary on the latest PAYGI BAS before the due date.
You can't vary previous quarters that have been finalised.
However, you do have an option in the latest PAYGI to claim a 5B credit for the previous quarters. Here is some information about how to vary PAYG instalments.
