I need to confirm my name in the last step of the application, but my Medicare card is abbreviated differently from my other documents and registrations.

I URGENTLY need access to myGovID; how should I proceed? I don't have any other document to prove it.

Hey @alice.acosta,

Unfortunately, all your documents need to match your ATO record for you to be able to verify them correctly. If the Medicare card won't verify because your name is different, then you'll need to talk to Medicare to have your card updated.

Depending on what you're needing MyGovID for as to what identity strength you need to have.

A standard identity strength you'll need 2 Australian documents with matching names, and this will get you access to most things within the online services.
