Hello,

We have a number of foreign directors who posted their applications for the director identification numbers in December 2022. We have still not heard back yet. How do we follow up on the applications? As these directors are based internationally and not Australian they do not have mygov or My.gov. Thank you

Hi @APOPR,

When it comes to Director ID's, only the director themselves can check the progress.

I understand we are processing a high volume of paper applications at this stage. If we require any further information, we will get in touch with them.

@DanielleATO Are you saying that it is now taking longer than 56 days to receive a DIN if you are a foreign applicant?

If yes, how long on average?

Hey @hholmes,

Unfortunately, some can take longer than 56 days due to the high demand with paper application. The time it takes for it to be processed can depend on a few things:

  • international postal timeframes
  • incomplete applications
  • we're waiting for more information from the director

If the application is incomplete, we'll contact the director to request further information. As they don't have a MyGov account their director id notification will be posted to their postal address.
