I have lodged an application for a certificate of residency in March. I have followed up with 3 phone calls. No one has been able to tell me why I have not received it or why there is a delay and when I could expect it.
Thank you for your reply. All individual applications have to be submitted via written application and not online. The application was sent via registered post in March. Confirmation of receipt by ATO, so no reason there would be a delay from postal service side. Website says 28 days - it's been close to 70 and no certificate yet. Very disappointing service from the ATO

We're sorry you haven't received your certificate yet. How did you submit your request was it via online services of via post?
Using our online services is the quickest way to request a certificate of currency. If you lodge by post It can be delayed due to postal timeframes and the documents being uploaded into the system for someone in that department to process.
As we can't access personal records here due to privacy reasons, we are unable to tell you when you should receive it.
