Hi, I paid my HELP loan in full on 26 May however it’s still showing up on my ATO Portal. I’m really worried I’m going to be hit with the indexation increase from 1 June 2023 (tomorrow). Can someone please confirm that this won’t be the case?

It's been recommended by us that if you were considering making a voluntary repayment to avoid indexation that the payment be made by the 25th of May to allow enough time for it to be processed. Payments made after this date may not be processed before the 1st of June. This will mean that indexation will apply.

Hi @AnitaATO, I really hope this won’t happen, I am travelling and my account was locked which is why I was only able to pay 26 May (after I organised to have a number that could call Australia and call the ATO to fix the issue). I will call again to see if I can have an exemption.
