Hi,

I have purchased a mobile phone that I use exclusively for work.

To protect the device from damage, I have bought:

  • a phone case, and
  • a glass screen protector.

Are accessories bought for the phone tax deductible, in the case where the phone is used exclusively for work?

Thanks in advance.

Hey @dmcardle,

If you have any business-related expenses that you do incur, you can claim the business part of that expense. If you use the device for any private use, you may need to apportion the expense and only claim the business part.

You can read more about business deductions on our website.
