Hi,

My activity statement is in credit. My previous quarter's activity statement was adjusted by the ATO to nil balance after I lodged my FY22 tax return, but I had already paid the amount previously showing as owing. I received a letter from ATO saying that I no longer need to pay PAYG instalments, hence I won't have any future amount owing to offset against my credit. My last activity statement is showing as a credit. How do I get this credit amount back?

Thanks

Hi @Cannon11

This can easily be fixed by lodging a refund request.

If you have access to the Business online service, you can submit a request by going to Accounts and payments > refund request.

Or you can ask you tax agent or accountant, to make the request on your behalf.

Alternately our Business area can submit a request to accounting for you.
