Hello all,

Can someone please help me to understand how one would confirm the associates/partners for a partnership.

As partnerships do not have to have an agreement or ACN, it would appear the only way to do so is via the ABR portal.

Have seen ABR statement copies very similar to an ASIC extract, however, have no idea where or how to request such.

Currently receive screenshots of individual/agent portal sessions as 'evidence' as there's apparently no official way to prove a standard business structure, am I missing something?

Thanks in advance,

Hello @KurtM,

The simple way usually for smaller partnership to know who the partners are is to look the partnership up on the ABN lookup. A partnerships name is made up of the partners involved. You can also log into the ABR if you are one of the partners and look at who the associates/members of the partnership are. Lastly you can request an extract of the ABN details on the abr.

Thanks Teddy,

Looking at a partnership now that doesn't have such naming convention.

Not interested in implications, seeking confirmation as a 3rd party.

So the only option in 2023 is to have a partner request a written copy and then hope they send the correct non-public version within the month?
