When we purchase online some suppliers provide a document called order confirmation / receipt. On this document there is there ABN/address, purchase details, amount , etc. , but doesn't says tax invoice. Is this document acceptable by ATO to claim GST?

Hello @Liliam,

Depending on the price of the supply will state what is needed to claim GST. You can check out when you can claim a GST credit page for a detailed breakdown. Basically if the item is more that $82.50 AUD then you will need a tax invoice. Depending on the online supplier many of them now have an option to get a tax invoice but it can sometimes be hidden in the purchase history on there site. If they don't provide a tax invoice in 28 days after its been requested, then there is also a process to follow through to get approval to use alternate proof.
