I am receiving a defined benefit pension income stream and according to the CSC, the 10 % tax offset is being applied to my pension fortnightly. I was 61 years old when i started receiving the fortnightly pension from the CSC. Using the details provided in the CSC PAYG Income statement and applied using the Defined Benefit income cap tool as part of the MyGov mytax portal, the is a tax offset of $2810.00 and has been noted as part of my Tax Return Details. Question: am i "double dipping" to claim this amount twice ($2810.00) if the tax offset is being applied each fortnight and then again "recorded" with my tax return? Somewhat confused on how this tax offset needs to be applied and reported to the ATO as part of my tax return.

No - fortnightly amount is only about the tax deducted, so you need to claim on tax return.
