Hi, I just created an ABN so I can become a delivery driver. Do I need to manually link my ABN to my bank account to get paid? During the application I didn't need to input it anywhere. If not, how does my ABN know my bank account details?

Hi @LeahThomson

Yes thats right they pay you through your bank account.

An ABN is a number that identifies your business. Who do you do deliveries for? Is it for Ubereats, Doordash or similar? You would give them your ABN and your bank account and they pay you into your bank account.

When it comes to us, you need to tell us about your earnings in a tax return. If you've just started then this will apply next year. We have an article about working for a food delivery service that explains what you need to do a little more.

No.

You need to send your Tax Invoices to whichever companies or organisations you're doing deliveries for.

It is a good idea to include your bank account details on your tax invoices, so they can send money directly to your account.
