It has been quite some time since i used a tax agent and not actually being familiar with 'Tax Return On Spot' I should have performed more due diligence as after i authorised them to lodge i have come across some major complaints about them online.


I am beginning to be quite concerned about my decision to allow them to lodge on my behalf as I cannot see the lodgement in MyGov, only that they are registered as my agent since the 13th July.

Sorry to hear this has been causing you stress! Hopefully we can help.


Firstly if you can it would be a good idea to try and follow up with the tax agent to see if they can provide any updates for you. If you still have concerns after following up with them, we have some help for if you are a victim of tax fraud that you could look into.


The business you lodged with is a registered tax agent with the Tax Practitioners Board, so if you have concerns about their practices you can lodge a complaint with the Tax Practitioners Board. If they're listed as an authorised contact on your account you can remove them as an authorised contact.
