Hi there

On the 25 July 2023, one of my clients processed and filed a pay run, which was dated 28 June 2023.

As June's BAS has been lodged and the EOFY STP Finalisation reporting deadline has passed, I'm assuming the ATO will report this pay run in July, not June?

I essentially would like to know if I need to amend June's BAS (PAYG) or revise July's IAS.

Many thanks for your advice in advance.

Hi @TWBB,

The pay runs have the period the pay run is for and that is the period where it aligns to. Not the date we receive it.

If the amounts for the PAYGW are different to what should have been reported. You will need to revise the BAS for the period where the withholding happened.

If the STP is incorrect, but finalised. The client may need to complete an update event if the information is not correct.
