I am returning to work as a casual. I receive the carers pension and my wife the disability pension. Do I pay the higher tax rate on my casual job ( weekly) or do I pay tax on my pension on a weekly basis.

Depends whether your carer payment is tax free or not.

If it is tax free then casual income taxed at normal rates.
