Just wanted to confirm the 28 day grace period for our New Zealand Employee. She applied for her tax file number the day she started with us but have not received it yet. She is still under the 28 days since she's been employed with us. Does that mean she doesn't have to pay tax yet.

No, that's not what it means 😉 When you received her TFND with the exemption claiming a TFN application, follow the ATO guidance to apply the tax as per the other info on the TFND until 28 days has lapsed or a valid TFN is received, whichever is the earlier date 🤓
