I still havent received my refund and its way past the advised timeframe of March. We are now in April. People need the money.... I do not understand what is holding things up?? Please advise

You have no idea how many items I have called. I am asking for a general response.
You're asking when you will receive the credits in your HECS account. None of us would know what is going on in ATO, so call ATO.

There isn’t a single reason refunds are delayed past the estimated timeframe.
We don’t have access to taxpayer accounts here, so we can’t say why your refund is taking longer.
If you haven’t received your refund or any messages from us, the next step is to check ATO Online services for any alerts or requests. If there’s nothing showing, you’ll need to call us so we can look at your specific return and tell you what’s causing the delay.
You are not the only one. I also have not gotten my refund back yet. I called them multiple times and the answer is the same "You need to wait and we do not know when you will get it".
Same here. On hold with ATO now. It is now May!!!! Been in credit since December and I just can’t understand why they are holding my money hostage
