hey there,

can anyone help me I have got my tax file number and I've updated my personal information multiple times while on the phone to ATO so everything is up to date but cant answer some questions they ask to be able to get a linking code to connect ato to centerlink,they asked me to fill in another form on ATO. com and update my information again to get a linking code but cant upload this form due to not having ATO connected .

So basically I cant access my ATO without updating my Information and cant update my information without loging into ATO. I have also had a baby who is 4 months now and waiting for his family tax to be processed still which wont be done until I can link ATO and wil expire in the next few days.what am I supposed to do.

If you can’t pass the security questions over the phone, we aren’t able to access your account to update your details or resolve your login issues. The fallback option is to complete the Change of details for individuals form and post it to us, along with the identity documents listed on the form.


There isn’t an alternative online process in this situation. But once we receive and process the posted form, your details can be updated, and you’ll be able to call us to resolve your ATO Online Services.


While this is being resolved, it might be a good idea to contact Services Australia to explain that you’re experiencing an ATO access issue, so they’re aware this is affecting your ability to complete related processes.
