Hi, my partner bought a home owner occupier. As our relationship advances we've talked about me being added to the title and/or the mortgage for peace of mind should we split up. I am concerned this will impact my accessibility to first home buyer grants which I will ask the state gov, but I'm wondering if being added to a title as a defacto would trigger a stamp duty event. Is there any advice?

Stamp duty is not the purview of the ATO. It is a tax levied by your State. You will need to speak with your State Revenue Office.
