First check you used the correct payment reference number (PRN). An incorrect PRN will mean the funds will be credited to the wrong account.

I used the PRN for my income tax, however I couldn't find any other PRN in my account summary apart from that one. If I wanted to pay off my HELP loan, should I be using a PRN specific for that account?
