I work as a paramedic at a designated station. I was accepted into a paid training program which will be conducted at alternative locations for which I will travel from home directly to 5 days a week for the next 14 weeks. in this period of time I will have 6 different locations that I will be working at. I will spend 5 weeks at one location followed by the next 5 weeks spent across 5 other locations and then 4 weeks at the original alternative location. Can I claim the cost of travelling from home to these locations since they are not my usual work location?

If you have the time and inclination you can read through the tax ruling on the deductibility of your transport expenses and the meaning of a regular place of work.
