How do I transfer deductions on the ATO app to a new phone?

Hi @qrmulloy,

If you’re using myDeductions in the ATO app, what you can transfer depends on whether your data was backed up or shared.

If you had cloud backup turned on in the ATO app on your old phone, your deductions are stored with your myGov account. When you install the ATO app on your new phone and sign in with the same myGov account, your myDeductions data will be available automatically.

If cloud backup was not enabled, the data is stored only on the old device. In that case, the only way to move it is to share or export the data from the old phone by emailing it to yourself using the app’s ‘Share data by email’ option.
