Hi,

Is a company legally required to pay an annual company review fee?

  • this may cover a review of company details up to date, remains financial viable, capable of paying debts.

is this fee separate from the ASIC annual fees? why is it not included in that particular fee?

where is the clause in the acts/regs that confirms it must be done?

who provides this service? what company documents does it review?

Are there further costs involved?

Are there statutory review fees on top of the above Company Annual Review fees?

thanks

ATO doesn't look after company registration. I think you will have a better time getting a clear answer by calling ASIC

Is a company legally required to pay an annual company review fee?

  • To stay registered, yes

who provides this service? what company documents does it review?

  • ASIC does and to keep your company registration
  • (Assuming you are the director, for you to double check your details are up to date)

is this fee separate from the ASIC annual fees? why is it not included in that particular fee?

  • I'm fairly certain that is the same thing
  • Double check the letter you got is from ASIC and not some third party

Are there statutory review fees on top of the above Company Annual Review fees?

  • You can check the list of fees on ASIC webpage
  • I don't think there's extra fees unless you are late. The due date is 2 months after review date
