I'm living back in Europe with ten years and I'm not sure if I ever claimed back my super annuation for my time I spent in Australia? I've done the online apps and everything has gone through okay but I've never got an email to say how much Im entitled to or what's available,or even if it's already been claimed? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Hi @Makeoneup2026,

There are a couple of different ways you can check. When you say you've already done the online application, are you referring to the:

Logging into your ATO Online Services through your myGov account will show you all your super accounts, including any super we're holding for you as 'ATO-held super', which appears if your fund has transferred your super to us.

If you worked in Australia on a temporary visa and have now left the country, you may be eligible to claim DASP. If you're not eligible under DASP you can't access your super until you meet retirement age, even if you're now residing overseas.

Where you've already lodged an application and it's been processed, the payment details would have been sent to the bank account or contact details you provided in your application.

To see your super info online, you'll need to access ATO online services. If you've lost access to your Australian mobile number, you may need to create a new myGov account and re-link it to the ATO and selecting 'passkey' as your preferred option for authentication. You can then download and se the ATO app for faster log in. If you get stuck, you can phone the myGov helpdesk.

When you log in, check the 'Fund details' section under 'Super'. This will show you:

  • all your super accounts as reported by your super funds
  • any ATO-held super amounts we're holding for you
  • whether you have any lost or unclaimed super
  • your super balances as at the most recent 30 June reporting date.

If you can't see any super info online or if the details don't match what you expected, it could mean we don't have all your info, or your details don't match the ones attached to the account.

If you’re unable to access ATO online services, you still have a few other options:
