I have 1 CGT loss unclaimed & not reported as carry forward lose to ATO.

in 2019-2020 tax year. I have had no capital gains to use for offsetting, so have no record with the ATO, and while preparing 2025-2026 return I may have some CGT gains.

How do I handle the reporting of these loss to ensure that I can use them in the upcoming return in the event of having CGT profit issues?

Is there a time limit issue re reporting and/or claiming the losses?

  • In future it would be better if you complete all the sections of the capital gain section
