Hi, I lodged a DASP application on 9 December 2025, but at the time Home Affairs said I was not eligible. I am now eligible, but the online system shows the previous submission and will not let me submit a new claim. I do have a reference number , I mailed the contact details provided me to , I got an automated reply saying thank you for contacting ATO. Where do I go from there?

Hi @gooner25,

You can’t change or resubmit an application once it’s been submitted through the DASP online application system. The system keeps your original submission and won’t allow a new one to be lodged.

You can check where your super is currently held by logging back into the DASP system:

  • If it shows ‘payment of unclaimed superannuation money’, ‘superannuation guarantee’ or ‘superannuation holding accounts reserve’, this means we currently hold it.
  • If it shows a super fund name, the fund holds your super.

As your eligibility status with Home Affairs has changed, you’ll need to contact directly to request an update to your application. The pathway depends on where your super is held:

  • If we hold your super the automated reply you received confirms we’ve received your message. You can phone our super line. We’ll review your situation and should contact you within 28 days.
  • If your super is held by a fund, you may need to contact them directly using the details shown on the ‘submitted applications’ page. They can advise if your application has been processed or if they need updated info.

If you need to follow up later and you’re calling from overseas, you can nominate a trusted person in Australia to speak with us on your behalf.

I contacted them the other day , one of your representatives advised me to apply without entering my TFN details which allowed me to submit a new application form .

Thank you for your response.
