As an employer, when i submit a STP post EOFY amendment for an employee does this flow through to MyGov for the employee? We have recently had to submit several amendments for 2024-25 FY but the employees are reporting that their MyGov for 2024-25 has not updated. Should this update? We have STP confirmation from ATO that the amendment has been received.

Yes, it's annoying when that happens ๐ซค
One very common cause of this is that the payee identity data you send in the pay event (TFN, full name, date of birth, residential address and possibly personal email and mobile number) is used by the ATO to match against a taxpayer identity. If they match, the ATO publishes the income statement. However, if they don't match, the ATO can't publish your data, as they don't know which taxpayer the information relates to ๐ค
An easy check is if the employees log on to ATO Online and view their Income Statement, it will show a date when it was reported. If that is historic, then they don't have matching identity data.
Get the employees to log into ATO Online and review their taxpayer identity details against their identity data in your system. They should update whichever is out of date.
If it's their taxpayer identity, soon after they will see the updated income statements that the ATO had waiting. If it's your system, then you'll have to send another update to provide that to the ATO so they can match it to publish the income statements.
So easy, right? ๐ค

Hey @PayTL,
We've checked in with our STP experts on this.
The information shared by @py_deanne aligns with our guidance. ๐
Hi, If the employee updates their info with ATO and not us, their income statement id not updated in mygov. But the ATO is still in receipt of the data. what action do the ATO undertake to trigger the amendment with the employee if my gov isn't updated? In some cases this may be a year after someone has left an organisation.
