My mom has an issue with linking myGov with ATO using the linking code provided by ATO. She logged into her myGov account and tried to link with ATO. She filled all the details including TFN number. After this process, she is not able to proceed and it states that it is Unable to link. The message include the follwing, "You are unable to ling using your current sign in method. Sign back in to myGov using a Digital ID or call the ATO on 132861 for support to link," Error code: OVK.001

Best that your mom calls ATO


"Unable to link – sign-in method not supported

You’re unable to link using your current sign-in method.


Error code: OVK.001


What you can do

  1. Sign out of your myGov account
  2. Sign in again using your myID
  3. Try linking to the ATO again

If you’re still unable to link your account, you will need to contact us."
