My income from jobseeker payment is equal to the tax deducted from the payment. I am unable to progress any further with my tax return. I have contacted the ATO by phone several times with no resolution.

They said contact Centrelink, they said contact ATO. All of this over $10.00

Please help

Hi @Frustrated2026,

The fact that your JobSeeker payment and tax withheld amounts are the same wouldn't normally prevent you from lodging your tax return. If the amounts have been pre-filled correctly, myTax should still allow you to continue and lodge your return.

As we can't access your account here, we're unable to see what's causing the issue. It may be related to another part of the return or a technical issue rather than the JobSeeker amounts themselves.

Is there an error message that appears? Without providing any personal info, it may help to let us know what the error message in myTax is saying so we can try and best guide you.
