My labour hire income is pre-filled under PSI and the employee Working from home section is unavailable. Am I entitled to claim working from home expenses, should I include them in the 'Total amount of other deductions against PSI – manually calculated' field? I am a IT contractor working through an agency.

Hi @Nebby,

If your income is being reported as PSI, work from home expenses such as heating, cooling and lighting may be deductible, provided you're eligible to claim them.

If you're completing the ‘Personal services income’ section in myTax, deductions related to earning that PSI are claimed against the PSI rather than in the employee work-related expenses section.

The ‘Total amount of other deductions against PSI – manually calculated’ field may be the relevant place for deductions that don't have a separate PSI deduction field. However, you'll need to self-assess which deductions you're entitled to claim and ensure you have records to support them.
