Employers have legislative obligations to record your full legal name. It is also used to match against the ATO taxpayer identity when they send your data each pay.
However, it won't impact your visa conditions.
Please ask your employer to update their records with your full legal name as per the Fair Work Regulations 2009 S3.32, referenced in the Fair Work Act 2009 S535. 😉
