My effective date was 15 July and I still have not received my refund yet why is that?
Hi @Drew101,
The effective date you’re referring to is when we have processed the form. There are more steps to finalising your return after this.
Check your myGov inbox for your notice of assessment. If it's there, it means we've finished processing your return and your refund will come through soon. Your bank typically needs a few days to clear the payment once we've sent it.
If your notice of assessment hasn't appeared yet, your return may still be processing. We sometimes need to check information with other government agencies like Services Australia or Child Support before finalizing your return.
Monitor your return progress through your myGov account to track when your refund has been sent and check with your bank about their processing times.
