I have entered and deleted and then reentered my identity documents repeatedly into my govid but keeps telling me my identity cannot be verified. It always seems to happen when entering passport details. I have to delete the app and then reinstall and keep doing the same thing but it is then saying my identity cannot be verified.

If you have other forms of identity, such as Drivers licence and a Medicare card, this should be enough for you to reach a standard identity.
A passport can be used to create a strong identity for certain access requirements.
