Hi!!
Just wondering what will be my final DASP return with my visa conditions as below
I was on WHV from April2022 to January2023 then from there currently on Pandemic 408
until next February2024 when I am due to change my visa to student visa
Will my sup total be $6490 if previous annual income is $59000?
I am still working full time under408 until the end of Jan24 so, am I supposed to calculate that part with 65% or 35%??
Also do I need to use 65% or 35% to calculate income with student visa??
I am planning to depart Australia by either august2024 or october2024.......just wanted to know exact amount I could get at the end of my journey in this country because of that re-implementation of that work restriction....😢😢😢
Thank you very very much in advance for every if any response at all and I hope that my post will also help any others currently facing the same issue
and, I am so sorry if my question sounds stupid but I really have no idea how to solve this on my own......)

Hi @KTM1993JP,
No, your questions about DASP are great ones!
How much super will depend on whether your employer is paying the minimum SG rate of 11%.
So, the amount you calculated $6,490 would be correct based on your annual salary $59,000 at 11%. Remember though the SG rate increased from 10.5% to 11% on 1/07/2023. So, any income earnt prior to this date would be at 10.5%.
We do have an estimate my super tool for you to estimate what your employer should have paid for you. Check your ATO online or payslips from the employer. This would have how super has been paid to date.
If you have worked whilst transitioning from a WHM to Pandemic 408. In this situation (if you have held both WHM and non-WHM visa) the law doesn't allow for apportionment.
If your DASP payment includes amounts attributed to super contributions made while you held a WHM visa, the 65% tax rate applies to the DASP. This is even the case if the DASP is not wholly comprised of amounts attributable to those contributions. So, the super total of $6,490 would be taxed at 65%.

Hi WendyATO
Thank you and still, I wish I could do this on my own without troubling anyone else for
my own issue
If I may please celarify the information you help provided, the taxation will remained at 65% until the end of
my pandemic visa as well because of halfway transition from WHM do not permitted apportioning....,right?
In that case will my income during student visa period taxed at lower percentage or will it also be 65% as it is intended to
be a continuation of my WHM/Pandemic 408???
Thank you!!

Hey @KTM1993JP!
Our pleasure in helping you!
Yes that right, it will continue to attract the 65% rate.
