How do I find the date I first paid income tax

I entered Australia as an immigrant in September . 1986. I need to know the date I started paying income tax.

You can request copies of your tax documents to work out when you first paid income tax.

Please note the documents available will differ depending on the entity type and whether they are held by us.

We hold payment summaries or income details from 2002. Income tax returns and notice of assessments from 1997 onwards.
