Working in an accounting firm. Have to go to the post office at least twice a week as mail is one of the communication ways with the clients. We have many letters, including but not limited to: legal documents, signed tax returns/trust deeds, workpapers that could be in a huge folder, etc. Also, we need to send some documents out to the client or to the government authority like the ATO and ASIC on behalf of our clients. Not picking or sending the mails when I'm on the way to my workplace as it's depending on the work required. For instance, might need to send some urgent stuff out in the this afternoon when you have already picked the mails up yesterday. It seems to be not a minor work to me anymore, can I claim it as one of my deduction (work-related car expense)?

Yes - as long as it is not on the way home.
