gone from University in City to working in Remote area of Australia, as with Education claims teachers can claim deductions off their HECS, can other jobs also access deductions, eg working for Northern Territory Government

The reduction for Higher Education Loan Program (Help) debts for teachers in very remote areas is an initiative of the Education Department. You would need to reach out to them to see if there were any other professions, they are offering reductions to.
There is also a Help debt reduction for rural doctors and nurse practitioners this is an initiative of the Department of Health and Aged Care.
We are responsible for the administration and collection of the compulsory repayments. We are not able to reduce or remove higher education loan debts.
