I will be moving to HK in January with 2 of my kids, whilst the oldest will remain in Perth with my husband for the moment. We all now have Australian passports and we own a house here. Although the house is in my husband's name. Will I be taxed on the income I earn in HK? I will also be taxed in HK. I am finding all of this very confusing and just trying to work out if it will be worthwhile making the move. I would appreciate any help. Also, does anyone know the best way to find a good financial advisor to help us out with a few things. Many thanks

Hi there @larmour
It all depends on your residency status for tax purposes.
If you cease to be an Australian resident, you won't be taxed on Hong Kong income. If you will still be an Australian resident, you may be taxed on the income, but you can claim a foreign income tax offset to relieve double taxation.
