Hi,
I run a home based business. I understand that I can claim a tax deduction for km travelled between home and another place I go to for work (e.g. home->post office to post orders -> home). How does this work if I travel to the post office from another location e.g. if I go to a medical appointment then to the post office then back home. What part of that can I claim as business travel?
I'm a bit confused because the website only says that I can claim for travel between home and another place I go to for work and back home but surely I should be able to claim for something if I go somewhere for work whilst I'm already out and about rather than having to return home and make it a seperate work only trip (which would be very inefficient).
