I have received a TPD insurance payment into my superannuation due to no longer being able to work in my occupation. I have withdrawn this from my super account and paid the relevant tax to withdraw the funds. I would like to try and work for my husband's business providing some administrative support and receive payment for this work. At this stage I am not sure whether my health will allow me, but is this something that I could try and are there any tax implications for doing this?

Hello there @Dottie85,

Yes, if you are able to return to work you can.

The TPD payment was separately deemed appropriate for not being able to return to your job at the time.

If you are able to take on a few hours here and there it's not a problem.

You only need to worry about making sure everything is reported correctly on your tax return.
