Has anyone ever experienced an error with HECS-HELP or FEE-HELP?
I've got a current FEE-HELP loan, and have just seen that my account has been charged the additional 20% fee on a full-fee paying place. However, the issue is that I am studying a postgraduate entry course, and have checked that the additional FEE-HELP loan fee does not apply to postgraduate courses. This same error was made with Centrelink in another situation, but however has been resolved since clarifying with a Centrelink customer service member.
I've tried my best to find a way to contact someone from the ATO to rectify this issue, but however have not been successful to reach out to anyone that can assist me. I have tried reaching out to the ATO call centre, but there has not been any options to redirect to help for this specific issue.
Has anyone either been in a similar situation or know of a way to get in touch with someone from the ATO that can look into this? The loan fees are not small at all, and would love to get this issue resolved.
