Sorry to hear that you haven't had a good experience requesting an amendment using ATO Online Services.


The ATO website says to allow 50 business days to process a paper tax return and any associated refund. This rule would also apply to amendments.


Unfortunately, the ATO doesn't send a confirmation when you lodge a paper return or amendment. Nevertheless, to check the ATO has your amendment request, phone the individuals helpline on [removed by moderator], see contact us for operating hours.

This was helpful - it would been much more helpful if the moderator had not removed the phone number for the individuals helpline!
