I've encountered a client that's signing BASs but is based overseas and I'm told this is fine. Is this the same with Income Tax returns? I was under the impression that the public officer needs to sign these??

Hello @Seesaw,

When it comes to lodging a company's tax return it is meant to be signed by the public officer as they are the primary contact for that type of entity. You can find this stated in the tax return instructions under the declarations section.
