Why does my estimated return include a liability for a medicare levy and a Excess private health insurance premium reduction or refund, when the ATO calculator tells me my medicare levy is zero? Additionally liability labelled "Excess private health insurance premium reduction or refund" is almost twice the value of the rebate received?

Hey @BrockC,

It means that you've received a higher rebate than what you're entitled to. We've answered a very similar scenario that you may find provides some further clarity for you, check it out, here.

Hey @BrookC

Without looking at both side by side it can be hard to say why you are getting two different results. It would be best to double check the information that has been entered is correct, there are also some limitations in the Income tax estimator that may have affected the calculation.
