Hi,

I have declared "further return not necesary" few years ago in my first year of retirement, however during the first year of Covid, I bought some shares and forgot to provide my tax file number. This year I received an email regarding the share dividends, and realized the company paid dividents with a few hundreds of tax withhold in 2022 and 2023, therefore I do need to do the tax return for this year and last year, however because the FRNN was done, I cannot do return on mygov account, should I do the paper forms? or how can I contact ATO to make it available on mygov?

Thanks for any help in advance.

Hey @Jianmin,

This happens quite often that's why we still recommend assessing your situation each year just to be sure even if you've told us you don't need to lodge in the future. It can be easily fixed you'll just need to request that we reactivate your income tax account.
